If you could work 1 hour per day (or 7 hours per week) and earn an extra $23,360 this year, would you want to do it?

That works out to be $64 per hour worked ($23360/365 days/1 hour = $64), it’s NOT a bad ROI… and it’s a LOT more than most people earn in their day-jobs!

Side-Note: If you were to work a typical ‘work week’ of 40 hours, and work 48 weeks per year, that’d be an annual income of $122,880!

Now, before you jump to conclusions, we’re not talking about necessarily doing this full time, but that is a $122,000/year option.

What we’re recommending you consider is investing 7 hours of your time each week, to pull in an extra $23,360/year.

Not a bad trade if you ask me!

Not on day 1… in our recent experiment, we started off at an earning rate of $8.10/article which works out to be $16.20/hour (when you’ve got a system in place, you can easily pump out two articles per hour).

Writers normally get paid on a PER WORD basis, so to put this another way, we started out getting paid $0.016 (1.6 cents) per word. After we’d done a few articles, we were ALREADY at $0.032 (3.2 cents) per word ($32/hour).

If we continued like this, we’d soon get to $0.064 (6.4 cents) per word, and would be at our target run-rate.

At the high end of freelance writing, professional writers can earn up to $1 PER word. Obviously you need a lot of experience and a 5-star track record to be able to charge this kind of price, but people do it.

One of my best friends sisters does exactly this. She writes part time, and makes $1 PER WORD!

If you’re like me though, your immediate knee-jerk reaction might be that this kind of thing isn’t for you, perhaps because you don’t want to trade your time for dollars… after all, it’s not passive income.

If you’re already earning over $1,000/month from your online business, then perhaps this really ISN’T for you… there might be better ways you can scale up.

But if you’re still not breaking through the $1k/month barrier yet, then this is something to consider.

Not just for the money you’ll earn, but for what this money can be used for.

When you’ve got access to $1,000/month from something other than your day-job (or your savings), its easier to justify reinvesting that money to build your business, and it means you can scale faster.

Your new income stream can be used as ‘seed money’ to grow your business.

The other thing that’s cool about this, is that it’s another one of these ideas that can fund little luxuries… like vacations, new toys, home improvement and so on.

And the OTHER benefit (and this one’s unspoken, but I know it’s a big deal for a LOT of people, and it certainly was for me when I started out online)… is to finally shut down the haters… the doubters who you know are kind of willing you to fail, or are secretly laughing at your lack of online success so far.

I’ve had my fair share of ‘haters’ over the past decade, mostly when I was just getting started. It infuriated me that certain close friends and family wouldn’t support my ideas unconditionally… as I learned later, it stems from their jealousy and envy, and is more to do with other peoples insecurities than anything else.

Anyway, moving on…
